about the piece The Train Ride Home is inspired by the many pieces of traditional wind ensemble I listened to during my commute to and from work over the summer. after listening to the great slow works of Frank Ticheli and Eric Whitacre, I decided to have my own take on this style of music. This piece is about me reminiscing on these journeys I would take and my appreciation for this style of music.
