about the piece There are many negative feelings that are typically associated with the night -- spooky, mysterious, unsettling. Personally, I have always found nighttime to be the most relaxing time of the day due to how quiet it is. I found that I often think better and am more focused then which often results in most of my writing happening after 11pm. After hours is a nocturne representing this beautiful, tranquil period of time which I have found to bring me the most peace.
